We are staying in Japan!!
Ian called today with the good news. We have been extended in Japan. As of now we will not have to transfer until July 2013, and I for one could not be happier. The boys are all pretty excited as well. By the time we transfer we will have lived in Japan for 7 years. It really has become our home away from home.

Wow. That's a long time to live somewhere temporarily! So glad you're happy with the decision, though. Is it a choice? I mean, did you ask for it?

What will you do when you head home to the U.S. someday? LOL I had culture shock after only 15 months in Korea!
Congratulations on knowing where you will stay and being happy with the choice. Some military families deal with so much uncertainty about where they might live from year to year, and some are fortunate enough to be able to really make a home somewhere. ^.^
