We went to Akizuki Castle Town. In 1998 the town was selected as one of the Important Preservation Districts for groups of historical building in Japan. Population of Akizuki is 300. The town was beautiful. We dressed in traditional Kimono's and walked around taking in the sights.
After we were dressed we had our photos taken for free by a really nice Japanese photographer.

We ended up at a hotel for a traditional tea ceremony. The tea was not great but the views from the hotel were amazing.

I got a kick out of his apron...

I wish we were going to be in Japan long enough to take Piper someday. I am defiantly going again.. Next time I will wear something other than tiny wooden shoes.

Don't you worry. It's the military, you could be there longer than you expect - or once again when she's older. Regardless, you'll have to take her back if you do end up in another world when she's older.
I love the photo of you in the kimono, but the 'prison' apron? ::Snort::
You sure do get a lot of interesting experiences.
Thank your hubby for me for his service. And thank you for yours, too. Because the families also serve. And I am grateful.
