Really it's that serious??

Is it really all that serious? If I open this envelope will I be tossed in the slammer? Did they perhaps give me some other kids records?

Ian and I had to officially sign the boys out of school. When the nice little clerk handed me the envelope I could not suppress my giggle.

I ask you, what on earth could possibly be in this envelope that I can not see?

For the most part I know what it says. Something like: Christopher is a smelly, snarky pre teen, who with minimal cajoling will attend math class. Please next math teacher (to whom we will apologise now) don't let his B fool you. He did score greater then 97% of every other student who took the TERRA NOVA test (that means nothing). Someday he will understand that you must show your work to get full credit. For no other reason then the teacher demands it, and his mother can not teach Algebra 1.

Can anyone explain why as parents we are not allowed to see what is inside this envelope? Because as I sit here typing, that little sticker (and the 2 layers of tape under it) have my fingers just itching to OPEN THE DAMN THING!

Overruled by you know who!!

Ian decided we needed to keep our Internet and cable until Monday. This means I will pay $36 for1 days use of my computer and Noggin. But, truth be told it is so worth it!
We are still tearing apart our house, packing luggage, and walking in circles making sure we don't forget anything.
Noah is spending the weekend with the next door neighbor. He comes home every couple of hours, smiles, says I love you and runs off again. We LOVE Toni our neighbor. Next summer the boys and I will by traveling back here to Yokosuka to spend a week with her and her kiddos. Then she will take a week and come see Sasebo.
Christopher is off with his friends. He is accepting the move more and more. Even going so far as to break up with his GF so his friend can date her. His reasoning for this : well mom, I don't want her to not have a BF when school starts next year:/ Um, K...
Ian is well the picture says it all! Being the loving dork he always is. And, yes those are REAL glasses. The Navy issued them once upon a time.
Have a great day!!!!!

Wrapping thigs up!!

This is my last post from my house! In about 2 hours the Internet will be cut off, cable gone, and adios to our phone.
Each time we move I am reminded of why I HATE it!!
The boys are excited to see everyone in the states. I am excited to *EAT IHOP*! (oh, and see family). School for the year is mostly behind us. Noah will continue with his HWOT, and math. Dealing with his dysgraphia/dyslexia we have to keep some work going.
Ian and I decided to take the boys to Disney Sea Monday. One last fun filled day. We all love Disney. Someday I want to own a home in Disney World. Mickey and Minnie could be our neighbors..
Our house is moving right along. Still looks mostly like a storage facility. They movers will be here in 4 days to remedy that.
Our birdies are back, and PISSED at Ian. They began to remake their nest, working diligently to secure a home for their babies. And, then Ian had to take their home away! For 2 days I have been woken up in the morning to pissed, loud birds. They can see their home (our BBQ grill) inside our house. Poor things just can't get to it. Guess they shouldn't have moved into a mobile home...
Have a GREAT weekend!! I will try and post an update from the hotel. I hear tell they have added Internet!!!

My kids!

Peyton handed Ian his cotton candy and said: Daddy, here is tastes like crap... OOPS I guess Ian says crap to much! (or is that me)...

Christopher talking to Noah: I would never take money out of mom's wallet with her watching.

Noah to me (while trying to find him a pair of pants) Mom, all of my pants have holes in the knees because you buy them with holes in them. You just can't see the holes at first!

Peyton ran up to me smiling and excited and said; Mommy you are NOT a princess.. Thanks Kid!

Noah to Ian, why Ian was cooking dinner: Dad, do you think mom will learn how to cook chicken good in a Japanese house?

Christopher to Ian and I: Why, do I have to lean Algebra? A's dad said he didn't learn any math past the 7 Th grade. And, he has a job!

And, my personal favorite....

Christopher walked in after a fight with his gf and said: Mom, be glad you are old, because girls these days are crazy. Can I have so money for the movies with J?

Enjoying another Taiko Drum show.

These ladies were wonderful!

Laughing my butt off at my husband. Him and these other 2 decided they wanted to............

Yup, pull a bus!

And, they did. In 20 seconds flat! Good job hun....

Supporting our local community with delicious food. Cooked by the guys that Ian works with. They were raising money for the Navy ball.

Attending our last dance. We went with a glow in the dark theme. I will miss the ladies I sit on the PTO with...

Making memories with my camera. Christopher and his GF had so much fun at the dance.. Ah, young love.. What a wonderful thing.

Getting dolled up for a wonderful Mothers Day brunch with my family...

I have absolutely not been worrying about packing, sorting, and moving. My head is stuck firmly in the sand and that is where it shall stay for another week..
Have a good weekend!!!

Which way is up??

We are getting down to the wire. There is still so much to be done. If I have to sort through one more thing in my house I am going to cry.. I have lists ALL OVER my house. Lists upon lists. And, right now we need them. I am so upside down I fear we could end up forgetting one of the kids on our way out.

We have had confirmation that within days of our arrival Ian will be leaving. We are scrambling to get everything he needs ready. This leaves me looking for a Japanese style house alone. It's all good (as the kids say). After talking to Jennifer and Alisa I have a priority list.

The things I am looking for are a washer and dryer, a park close by, and a small grocery store within walking distance. I have given up the dream of central heat and air! Having a western style kitchen is also a pipe dream. If I get them great, if not we will be just fine.

Our sofa has been measured, and I hope and pray I can find a house big enough to fit through the door. That could be rough.

After much discussion Ian and I have decided to buy a Japanese style bed. How exciting...

The boys and I are going to think of house hunting as an adventure. Part of me wants a traditional Japanese house. Rice paper walls and all. The other part of me understands I have a 3 year old who loves to color my floor with markers.

OK, enough complaining.. Back to the grindstone.
